Playing poker in Atlantic City checked October 2026

Only three Atlantic City casinos have poker tables in 2026: Borgata, Harrah's Resort and Tropicana. Bally's, Caesars, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock, Ocean and Resorts report none to the state regulator. Some of them deal house-banked games such as Ultimate Texas Hold'em or Three Card Poker, which are played against the dealer, not other players.

Where to play

  • Borgata, 1 Borgata Way (Marina District): the largest room in town and open 24 hours. No-Limit Hold'em runs daily at $1/$3, $2/$5 and $5/$10, with bigger games mostly at weekends and Pot-Limit Omaha often on weekdays. Tournaments run most days, usually one late-morning and one evening start, with buy-ins mostly between about $85 and $250.
  • Harrah's Resort (Marina District): 28 poker tables. It hosts WSOP Circuit series.
  • Tropicana (on the Boardwalk): cash games and tournaments on the casino level next to Boogie Nights. Open from 9 am Monday to Thursday and 24 hours Friday to Sunday, with hourly high-hand prizes for players tracked on a Caesars Rewards card.

Series: Borgata runs its Poker Open festival several times a year.

Entry: you must be 21 or over to play, so carry photo ID that shows your age.

Getting there: NJ Transit's Atlantic City Rail Line runs daily from Philadelphia 30th Street. A free AC Jitney shuttle links the rail terminal with every casino, and the city jitney routes cost $3 one way. NJ Transit buses run to the Atlantic City Bus Terminal from Philadelphia (551) and New York Port Authority (319).

What to bring: photo ID and a players club card if you have one.
