Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

The PokerCharts team ("us", "we", or "our") runs the PokerCharts website at pokercharts.com and the PokerCharts app for iPhone (together, the "Service"). PokerCharts is operated by MKTT Holding Ltd.

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our Service.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Service.

In short: we keep your poker records so we can show them to you on every device you use. We do not sell your data, we show no ads, and the iPhone app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Information Collection And Use

When you create an account, we ask for your email address and a password. You can also add your name. We never store your password itself, only a one-way hash of it that cannot be turned back into the password. Together with what you log (below), this is your "Personal Information".

What you log. Everything you record is stored with your account: your sessions and their amounts, live session check-ins, bankroll balances and entries, hands, venues, notes, tags, journal entries, goals, trips and staking deals, together with the settings you choose, such as your currency, time zone and language. We use it to show you your results on the website and in the app.

When you import a file (a hand history, a tournament summary or a spreadsheet), we keep a copy of it so we can investigate and fix an import that did not come out right. It is stored privately, only our team can open it, and it is deleted when you delete your account. Files imported before 28 September 2026 keep the earlier terms: they are deleted after 90 days, or sooner if you delete the import or start fresh.

Receipt photos. When you scan a tournament receipt, the photo is sent to Anthropic, whose AI model reads the venue, date, buy-in and currency from it. We never store the photo: it is held in memory for that one request and then discarded. We keep only what was read from it, on the session, so you can check and correct it. Anthropic does not use the photo to train its models.

Venue photos. If you manage a venue and add photos to its listing, we store them and show them in the public venue directory once our team has approved them. They stay on the venue's listing if you later delete your account.

Shared hands. When you share a hand, anyone who has its link can see that hand, without an account, until you stop sharing it.

Messages to us. When you write to us through the contact form, through Help & Feedback in the app, or by email, we keep your message, any file you attach and our replies, so we can answer you and follow up.

How you found us. When you sign up, we record the page you first arrived on, the site that sent you, any campaign tags in the link, your browser or app version and your IP address. The iPhone app may also ask you once how you found PokerCharts. Answering is optional, and you can skip it. We use these to learn which channels bring players to PokerCharts.

How you use the Service. We record events such as the pages and charts you open, when you start a checkout, and searches that found nothing, with the words you searched for. They are stored with your account, or, before you sign in, with a random visitor id kept in a cookie. They show us what is used and what is confusing, and they decide some of the product emails you get, for example a note when you have used your free sessions.

The iPhone App

The app keeps a copy of your data on your iPhone, so it works without a signal, and sends what you log to your account when it has a connection. Signing out of the app removes that copy from the phone.

The app asks for a permission only when you use the feature that needs it: the camera and your photo library to add a receipt or venue photo, notifications, and Face ID if you choose to lock the app with it. Face ID is handled by iOS, and we never receive your face data. The app does not use your location.

To send you notifications and to keep a running session on your Lock Screen, the app gives us the tokens Apple issues for your iPhone: one for notifications, and one for each live session shown on the Lock Screen. We use them only to send those updates, through Apple's Push Notification service. A Lock Screen update carries the venue's name and your session's figures (what you have put in, your stack and your result) so that iOS can show them. Whether amounts appear on the Lock Screen is your choice, under Settings > PokerCharts > Show amounts on the Lock Screen on your iPhone.

When you create an account in the app, it uses Apple's App Attest to confirm that the request comes from a genuine copy of PokerCharts. We keep the key identifier it gives us and delete it once it has gone unused for a year. The app also tells us your iPhone's model name, to label the sign-in in your account, and the country of your App Store account.

If the app crashes or fails to sync something, it sends a report to Sentry with the error, the app and iOS versions, the iPhone model and your account id, so we can find and fix the problem. A report never contains what you logged, and the app never sends screenshots or recordings of your screen.

The app records the same kind of usage events as the website, such as which chart you picked, and sends them to us with your account. It has no advertising identifier, shows no ads, and the pages it opens from pokercharts.com load no third-party analytics or advertising tags.

Log Data

We collect information that your browser or the app sends whenever you use our Service ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. We also keep the IP address of your two most recent sign-ins with your account.

On the website, and never in the iPhone app, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count page views and sign-ups. When you are signed in, Google Analytics receives your account id, a random identifier rather than your email address, so that visits from your different devices count as one person. Google sets its own cookies for this, and Google's privacy policy covers how Google uses this information.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer's hard drive.

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember your language and your choices during a visit, to protect our forms against forgery, and to count visits before you sign up, with a random visitor id. On the website, Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA set cookies of their own. You can tell your browser to refuse all cookies or to tell you when one is sent, but without cookies you cannot sign in.

Do Not Track Disclosure

Do Not Track ("DNT") is a preference you can set in your web browser to tell websites that you do not want to be tracked. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: when your browser sends either signal, our website does not load Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics. The iPhone app does not track you.

You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.

Service Providers

We use the companies below to run the Service. Each receives only what its job needs.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

  • Railway hosts our servers, our database and the files you upload, such as imports and venue photos.
  • Cloudflare runs the network in front of pokercharts.com, so it handles every request to the website and the app, including your IP address, and forwards email sent to our addresses.
  • IPinfo tells us the country of an IP address when Cloudflare has not, so we can pick your language on a first visit.
  • Resend sends our emails and receives your replies.
  • Stripe handles payments. You type your card details on Stripe's own checkout page, and they never reach us. Stripe receives your email address, your account id and the plan you choose; we keep your plan, your payment history and Stripe's customer number for your account.
  • Sentry receives error reports from the website and the app: the page or screen, the error and technical details about the browser or phone, and from the app your account id. We switched off the options that would send your IP address, cookies or what you typed.
  • Anthropic reads the receipt photos you scan, as described above.
  • Apple delivers notifications and Lock Screen updates to your iPhone, and confirms sign-ups from the app with App Attest. Apple's own privacy policy covers downloading the app from the App Store.
  • Google provides Google Analytics on the website (see Log Data); reCAPTCHA, which checks that the website's sign-up and contact forms are used by a person; and, if you have switched to the classic theme, Google Fonts, which serves that theme's typefaces.

Communications

We may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your account and everything in it for as long as you have the account, even if you stop using it: we do not delete accounts for being inactive, and nothing you log is deleted by us on a timer.

Some things are kept for less time: receipt photos are never stored; the app's sign-in on a phone ends after 180 days without use; and import files follow the terms above.

Technical records, such as error reports and server logs, are kept only for a limited time and then deleted.

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account yourself, on the website under Settings > Delete account, or in the app under More > Settings > Delete account. You confirm with your password. This deletes your login and email address, your plan, the payment history in your account, your messages with us, your preferences and everything you have logged; it ends any subscription at once, signs the app out on your phones, and we email you to confirm. You can download a copy of your sessions and bankroll first, from the same page.

A few records stay after you delete your account: records of payments, which we keep for our accounts, and usage events, both no longer linked to you; and messages to us that are not part of your account, with the name and email address they carry, such as a message sent through the contact form while you were signed out, an email from another address, or a contact-form message from before August 2026. Stripe keeps its own record of your payments under its privacy policy.

What you added to the public venue directory, such as venues, events and photos, stays there, and we keep a record of which of those came from the same account, without your name or email address, to deal with abuse.

To clear what you have logged but keep your account, use Start fresh in Settings. It deletes every session, venue and figure you have logged, and keeps your login, email address, plan and payment history, your messages with us and your preferences.

You can see and change your details on your Account page at any time. If you would rather we delete your account for you, write to us (below).

Compliance With Laws

We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.

Business Transaction

If PokerCharts is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

International Transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to the United States and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Links To Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
