Poker Bankroll Management Calculator: How Many Buy-Ins Do You Need?
A poker bankroll management calculator determines how many buy-ins you need based on win rate, variance, and risk tol...
Sold a piece of your action? PokerCharts keeps the books. Every deal lives on the session, each backer gets a statement, and your real result is what is left after the split.
Get started free Free to start with 10 sessions includedWhen you sell 20% at 1.2 markup on a tournament, you log it on the session itself: the backer, the percent, the markup. PokerCharts prices the deal from the buy-in, works out what the backer paid you and what they are owed from the cash, and nets both into the session's result. Your dashboard, charts and win rate show what you actually kept, while gross results and your BB rates stay untouched, because selling action changes your money, not your play. Hand-edit the amounts for the unusual deals (rebuys out, bounties kept) and the override sticks.
The staking hub lists every backer with their open balance: what you owe them, what they owe you, and what has been collected over time, converted to your home currency when a trip was played in another one. Settle a single sale or everything with one backer at once, undo a settlement if you clicked too early, and send a reminder when a balance has been sitting for a while. Every backer can have a private statement link, so the 'what do I owe you?' text message becomes a page they open themselves.
Selling a whole series or a trip's schedule as one package? Create the package, attach the events, and sell a percentage once; PokerCharts fans it out to every session and allocates the collected money pro-rata by buy-in. Add a late event and the deal extends. For long-term arrangements, backing deals track makeup: the backer funds the covered costs, losses accumulate, and profits split at your agreed percentage only after the makeup is cleared, with a ledger you can both read.
If you also buy pieces of other players, the Stakes tab tracks the investor side: what you put in, at what markup, and what came back, with portfolio ROI over settled positions only, because an unsettled stake has not answered yet. Everything is included free, on phone and desktop with the same login. There is also a free staking calculator for checking a deal before you offer it.
Your net result and earnings reflect the split, since that is the money you actually kept. Gross results and BB/hr or BB/100 are left alone: they measure how you played, and a backer's share does not change that.
Markup is the price per unit of action. 10% at 1.2 markup on a $500 buy-in costs the backer $60 instead of $50. PokerCharts computes the amount collected from percent x markup x buy-in and the amount owed from percent x cash, and you can override either number when a deal has special terms.
Yes. Each backer can have a private statement link that lists every piece they hold and the open balance. You can revoke or rotate the link at any time.
In a long-term backing deal, losses carry forward: the backer is repaid out of future profits before any profit is split. PokerCharts keeps the running makeup balance and shows the split on every session under the deal.
